Protestant Church Colleges in Canada

Here we see a panorama of Protestant religious thought and controversy as reflected in the creation, the development, and sometimes the demise of church-related liberal arts colleges and denominational theological seminaries. One after another, the church colleges became non-denominational universities or affiliates of non-denominational universities. There are now but four completely independent Protestant universities in Canada. The pluralistic university which resulted from the grouping of church and state colleges over the century and a hall covered by this history is a unique Canadian compromise.
